Background
I’m an engineer at heart with a love for building things that are both useful and well-crafted. My background is in engineering, which gave me a systematic way of thinking about problems — and a tendency to want to automate anything that can be automated.
Over time that instinct turned creative. I started building mobile apps not because I had to, but because I kept running into small frustrations in everyday life that I thought could be solved with the right tool.
Why I Build Apps
The first spark was Vacation Maximizer. I’d always found it frustrating that planning time off felt harder than it should be — you’d look at the calendar, spot a public holiday, and wonder how to string it together with your remaining PTO. I built a quick prototype to solve it for myself. When other people wanted it too, I knew I was onto something.
That pattern has repeated with every app I’ve built since: a genuine problem, a tool designed around it, and a focus on making the experience simple enough that anyone can use it from day one.
How I Work
I build everything as a solo developer, which means I’m involved in every part of the process — product design, engineering, testing, and support. Being based in Ireland, I’m close to the EU market and have a natural sensitivity to the privacy-first expectations of European users.
I care about quality over quantity. Each app is maintained actively, updated for new OS versions, and improved based on real user feedback.
